TOPIC: moving to aws cloud

moving to aws cloud 4 months 4 weeks ago #19156

We are moving to AWS cloud services and are testing
I can run our packages individually, however the schedule will not submit as in the old environment
we did an exact copy of our production environment into AWS

What am I missing?

You probably forgot to change the computer to execute on?

please see attached
I tried downloading new software to ensure registry gets redone, did not help , but caused the new registration key requirements
How do I get that info, I will upgrade all instances to the new registration

Hi Alan.
Maria has just sent you a new licence key.
Please let us know if it helped you or not.
If not we have a very detailed wiki article explaining how the scheduler works. You might find it useful.

the etl is on a server a2bf-app1
the sql database is a2bf-sql1
when we moved to AWS and are testing the ports are very restrictive
what ports are needed for the etl to communicate with the sql
I see the dbo.query records being created, however they are not being executed
does this require a specific port?
my options are set to connect to repository
and execute one action at a time
the odbc test connects all work
it is as if an IP address is being stored

I have a second setup on a2bf-sql1 that runs executions in a separate thread that is not having issues
I have verified and tested everything I can think of and gone thru the threads you provided
everything looks correct
but the scheduler will not execute.
does it require a specific port open?

There are no specific ports to open.
The easiest way to understand what is going on is to run SQL profiler. It will show the a actual SQL executed.
