Add Agent to ETL was created by Nardjr
Hi,
Kinda new to this software, am trying to figure it out.
Currently i have the ETL Processor Enterprise on my pc, i am trying to make another computer(agent) to run the process.
How do i need to approach this? currently i installed the Enterprise Agent on the target computer(in the same network) but i cant figure out how to connect this agent to my ETL-Tools?

Hello
You have to connect both computers to the same repository.
The repository database is where everything is stored connections, templates, scripts ETC.
The default repository is MS access.
We recommend using SQL server express as the repository.
It is free and easy to configure.
Please watch the video tutorials dedicated to working with the repository and agent
Keep us posted on your progress

Hi Mike,
That is exactly what I did. I installed the Execution agent on the target computer and connected it to the same repository but it does not show as a node which I can access. I will move the repository to SQL tomorrow and see if that helps.
Thanks for your reply.

So, i ended up migrating the Repository to SQL Express, which was a small hassle to configure on 2 normal computers.
But anyway. After a restart of the Agent service, it now shows up in my nodes list.
Thank you for the support. Now I can start figuring out how to make it do stuff
.
one small question. how can i add a license to the Node? we have a full license but i need to somehow activate the agent as being the license holder.

To install the license click Help =>, Register
(BTW If you want to run software on two computers you need two licenses.)
