How to match the names from the first characters was created by vattikonda

Hi Sir,

We have Scenario , where we need to join the data by matching the company names from the first 5 characters from two different source files.
Could you please let us know , how to do it in Advance ETL.

Please find the attached Input files and output files for reference.

Input 1 > Company names, Brand, Owner name
Input 2 > Company names, location
Output > Company names, Brand, Owner name, location
task > Joining the tables by matching first 5 charecters
Matching column > Company names

That is very simple

Use sub string transformation to get first 5 characters then join

www.etl-tools.com/wiki/aetle/transformat...s/strings/sub_string

you will have the

reader 1 => traformation 1 =>
Joiner
reader 2 => traformation 2 =>
