Excel Formula Cell

Hi,

I have taken a quick look at the forums and the Wiki but have not seen a specific solution.

Is it possible to have AETL store a formula in a cell of an excel workbook when it is being written to?

Basically, the writer creates a workbook that is just columns and rows. But we do need to add/insert a few extra columns that will need to contain formulas. This is so that the end-user doesn't need to create them. We could put the result in rather than the formula, but in this case I'd like Excel to do the calculation.

Additionally, whether there is any facility to have conditional formatting rule applied to the outbound cell?

Thanks in advance

Hi Bruce.

Formulas and conditional formatting are not currently supported. We will add it the list of things to do. This should be easy to implement.

Hi Bruce.

Just letting you know that we have just added support for excel formulas to the latest version of Advanced ETL Processor.

The support for conditional formating is technically possible but not straight forward because we have to implement conditional formatting dialogue similar to excel dialogue. This is a rather complex task.
