Each week we use the ETL to create hyper files for Tableau and publish them to Tableau Online.

As of Monday, Tableau released a new version of Tableau online, which seems to have broken all of our reports that use "number of records."

The open case below mentioned that this may be related to ETL software:

Has anyone experienced the same issue or know how to fix the problem? We need to try to find a fix immediately

Not sure that it is actually related to our software. All we are doing here is using Tableau Extract API 2.0
There is a new version of API which we are planning to use in the nearest future.

Are you using any of our products?

We use Advanced ETL Processor to do the things mentioned above: "Each week we use the ETL to create hyper files for Tableau and publish them to Tableau Online."

The data sources seemed to be fine until we ran them through the ETL software last Monday after Tableau's latest software update. Tableau is also claiming the issue might be due to the ETL software. Are you certain there isn't any incompatibility issue between the hyper file that the ETL processor creates and Tableau's new version?

Here is what we use

help.tableau.com/current/api/extract_api...ract/extract_api.htm

We load tableau dlls and call functions inside them according to the documentation.

Everything is happening inside dll.

We do not have control over it.

Are you certain there isn't any incompatibility issue between the hyper file that the ETL processor creates and Tableau's new version?

We do not know the answer to this question it is possible of course no software is perfect.

The proper way of testing it is to create a hyper file using python.

help.tableau.com/current/api/extract_api...ract_api_samples.htm

If the hyper file created using python has the same problem it is a problem with API.
If not it is a problem with our software.

BTW the link you provided is related to Alteryx and not our software.

My comments above do not actually help you to address the problem.

We need to be able to reproduce the issue in the office.
If you can create basic transformation which we can use as an example it will really help us.
The source is excel target is Hyper (3-4 records will do)
Please also provide us with tableau dashboard
