Hi,
I know there is a REPO synchronization feature but it clunky, i need to easily export a project from 1 REPO and restore it to another REPO in a very easy manner. Why cant there be a save project to zip ( all the objects inside are saved, connections, sql scripts, transformations, packages and structure and names ) and a matching load project from .zip. is this hard to do. I think its an old question too and the repo sync was the answer.
Saving the individual objects is not enough, i need the the different types of connections, the naming, the hierarchy, the naming etc that i have in a source project to be easily carried to a new REPO. i don't mind redo-ing the schedules of packages in the target repo. But its a real pain to manually setup objects again in the target repo. No, its really risky to restore an entire REPO PROD db with a UPDATED non-prod.

I think Repository synchronization wizard is already capable of doing it. I will investigate and get back to you.

The REPO sync feature is terrible, dragging objects over , they don't drop in the right places and then i got to do each object or hierarchy in the source. I need to move an entire project (new) over to the other repo.

Any feedback on this item.? cloning a project works within a single REPO - great. but still on the table is the ability to properly, easily and completely "save/export" an entire project and then be able to "import' it as a whole into a new REPO.
its more than a sync, its being able to "deploy" a project to a new REPO with existing projects that may be running many packages, so database backup/restore is not an option.
thanks,

Thanks for the update. I was just making sure it didn't fall off the action items.
