can you add "record lenght" under Meta data? was created by orlandoc
Hi,
I have a transformation the parse a fixed width record and I already done the parsing where I defined the length of each in the Reader node. Now I have asked to verify the length of each record. There is no way I can verify the length of each record now in the Validator since the Reader already split the record per fields. (see attached screen shot).
I just hoping you guys can add "Record Length" in the Metadata function since you also can provide "RecordNo".
Please advise.

We have already provided you with an example of how it can be done.
Adding this functionality to Metadata object will confuse users.
Records can be sorted grouped duplicated record width can be changed.
It will take to much effort to implement the solution which can be used in all cases I am afraid
