Does the ETL tool need office plugin to read excel file in windows server?

Hi,
We are using the Advanced ETL Pro Ent and it is running on Windows 2008 R2 64bit server.
One of the package is importing an Excel file and parse it.
My question is, do I need to install the office plugin in windows 2008 R2 server as the required dependency of your ETL tool for it the parse the excel?

There is no need to install anything else
