Data mapping problem

Data mapping problem was created by Matt
Using latest trial try to set up very simple transforms.
I just link some of my inputs (green) to outputs (red). If I drag and drop some extra outputs and rename them to some useful names, after clicking ok and returning back to transforms, the ones I created have reverted to names [F1].
Also when running the process, the outputs I tried to connect by drag-drop-link do not get written to output file.
The first \"default\" outputs get written however.
How can we resolve this?
Do you want me to systematically create some screen-shots that I can mail for better clarity?

If transformer object is connected to writer all field's names are taken for the writer object.
Select writer object click Writer Tab->click Show definition-> You should be able rename fields there
Please let us know the outcome
