Hello ETL Team,
Is it possible to integrate the file date or the time stamp into the file name when importing files?
Thx
Thomas

Hi Thomas.
I am a little bit confused about your question.
Do you want to populate the table field with the file creation timestamp?
Are you using an import script or transformation?

Hi Mike,
Sorry for the poor explanation.
I import data from an Excel file.
As the files always have the same name and are generated several times a day, I want to store the Excel versions away.
In the archive it would be ideal if I could add the date to the file name.
to the filename.

There are multiple ways of getting file creation date
You can use the metadata transformation function
www.etl-tools.com/wiki/advanced-etl-proc...cellaneous/metadata/
Or you can use file metadata package action
www.etl-tools.com/wiki/advanced-etl-proc...ile-metadata-action/
Please keep us posted on your progress
