Event: Refresh Data on Post was created by Philipp_Maurice
Dear Sir or Madam,
we are currently using ATE version 5.3.1.27. We are planning to upgrade to the latest version in the future.
Scenario: We have created a Record in which the User has to enter data.
Thereafter, the User has to Save these inputs by pressing the Post button.
The data is then stored in a table. In order to be able to give the user some feedback on whether the data has been saved or not, a field has been created to display this feedback.
The information that this has taken place, however, is only displayed when the user manually clicks the "Refresh" button.
The following requirement is needed:
- Provide an option by which the refresh is automatically executed after posting/inserting data. This option should be able to be enabled/disabled for the "Records" item.
Is it possible to implement this requirement?
If you need more information, feel free to let me know.
I am looking forward to your answer.
With kind regards

Hi Philipp.
Can you tell us which database you are working with?
It might be not possible to refresh just one record after the update.
However, what we can do is refresh the entire dataset and select the same record automatically.
This should work fine for a small dataset

Hi Mike,we're currently using a Microsoft Server 2016 SQL Database. Your second suggestion sounds like it can work.
Is this implemented in the new Version?
With kind regards

Hello
Can you try the latest version, please
Please let us know if it works the way you want it to
We do not have a copy of your environment so we were not able to do full testing
