New version of Database Browser is available for download
In this release we have greatly enhanced SQL Execution log functionality.

As we add more features and data sources to our ETL software the testing requirements become more complex. One day we realised that we need a standard database for testing of ETL processes. It will allow us to compare Data transformation performance across various databases and our uses make a conscious decision which database to use. After some research we have decided to port MySQL Sakila sample database to Oracle, SQL Server, Interbase/Firebird and Access. (more databases to follow). It was already ported to Postgres but scripts for deleting data and dropping tables we missing.
The first release of port is completed, and can be downloaded from google code web site
Sakila is a serious sample database, with tons of data, and a number of views, stored procedures, triggers and functions to allow you to really explore and test all the various features of MySQL.
Great news both Advanced ETL Processor and Visual Importer ETL support now XSLT transformations.
A lot of XML files have very complex structure and XSLT allows to transform the data into more readable format:
<table>
<record>
<field1>value1<field1>
<field2>value2<field1>
<record>
<record>
<field1>value1<field1>
<field2>value2<field1>
<record>
<table>
XML can be transformed before loading the data or if user wants to process/validate XML which is stored in the database field two new data transformation functions can be used

We woud like to thank our customers for providing usefull feedback
